Lose Weight While Pregnant
Tips To Lose Weight If You Are Pregnant
If you are already overweight before you fell pregnant and are dreading the fact that you could easily put on another 2-4 stone while being
pregnant, then read the weight loss tips below to learn how to lose weight while pregnant.

Keep Active
You must keep active. There is nothing wrong with doing some light aerobics or
exercise while you are pregnant.
The only thing which you cannot do is any form of stomach exercises, heavy lifting or any exercise which pulls the muscles in your
stomach.
Swimming is a great exercise for pregnant lady's as is an exercise bike. Some women lose weight while pregnant by taking the opportunity
to decorate the baby's nursery or any other room in the house for that matter.
It doesn't matter what you do, but keep as active as you possibly can.
Healthy Eating
You have to be careful with what you eat while you are pregnant. Your midwife will let you know which foods you are not allowed to eat
which may harm the baby. When I was pregnant I was not allowed to eat liver or soft ice-cream. However in my mothers' generation they
were allowed to eat liver. Scientific studies on food in pregnancy are constantly being looked into. So instead of writing about
it on this page only for it to be out-dated in a few months time, your best bet is to consult your midwife and GP.
However, what is always healthy for you and the baby is plenty of fruit and vegetables. These provide many nutrients and calcium for the
baby and will also help you lose weight while pregnant. If you don't like vegetables, then try these suggestions on making soups and spicing up your vegetables to make them more interesting and tasty.
Cut down or out altogether fatty food such as burgers, chips, pizza etc. The same goes with chocolate, sweets, bisuits and cakes. You're
never going to lose weight while pregnant eating these.
Make sure to drink plenty of water and full-fat milk for the sake of the baby.
Eating For Two
I think many women take this phrase too literally. Yes you do have to eat more by consuming extra calories, but you don't have
to take it to the extreme. You might experience 'cravings' and you will probably feel hungrier than normal. But make sure you snack
on healthy snacks such as fruit, low fat yohgurt, hard boiled egg, almonds etc..
Focus, Focus, Focus
Try and stay focused on eating healthy and doing some form of light exercise. But I would honestly not worry too much about your weight
while pregnant. Enjoy being pregnant, don't let weight loss hinder your experience of pregnancy.
Once you have had your baby and you are in the right frame of mind, then think about how to lose baby
weight then, not now.
